Vintage MCM Space Age 60s Metal Cage Ceiling Light Lamp Pendant Swag Mid Century Modern

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage hanging space age ceiling light fixture that was manufactured by Globe Lighting. Circa '60s. The fixture consists of a metal cylinder at the center, and it has piercings along the surface which allows light to emanate outward from the socket. Surround the metal cylinder is a cage of flat white metal strips (see photos). The fixture still retains its original Globe and UL labels on the inside of the brass metal ceiling canopy (see photos). It's a wonderful fixture that is suitable for all interior settings.

MEASUREMENTS: The fixture measures approx. 8.5" tall x 12" wide x 12" deep. The central pierced metal cylinder is approx. 8" tall x 4.75" in diameter. The white electrical cord drop is approx. 19" long.

CONDITION: Very good condition - no dents, dings, breaks, scratches, repairs, rust or oxidation. We have not attempted to clean the fixture in any manner as it presents itself nicely in the condition in which we got it. The electrical wiring looks to have been replaced, and there are no issues with it - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The fixture is in working order - just needs to be hardwired into the place by a certified electrician. As is the case with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
