Vintage MCM Floor Lamp Fiberglass Shades Mid Century Modern Lighting 50s Atomic

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage atomic era floor lamp complete with its original conical fiberglass shades. Circa '50s. The lamp features a red wooden accent piece midway up the central metal column. The fiberglass cone shades are conical in shape, beige in color, and they are heavily textured along the outer surface (see photos). They are set at slightly staggered heights, and they attach by directly threading them to the outside metal shell surrounding the light sockets. Each socket has its own on/off toggle switch. The rectangular base at the very bottom of the lamp is black painted wood. We are uncertain as to the maker - there are no labels or tags present.

MEASUREMENTS: With both shades attached, the lamp measures approx. 70.5" tall x 16" wide x 8" deep. The shades are set at slightly staggered heights - the distance to the top of the upper-most shade from the bottom of the base is approx. 70.5" high, while to that of the lower shade is approx. 64.5" high. The sockets are set at 54" high, and 48" high - again, measured from the bottom of the base. Each of the fiberglass shades measures approx. 18.25" tall, with the smaller upper diameter being 2.5" round, and the larger, lower diameter being 7" round. The rectangular wooden base is approx. 14" wide x 8" deep.

CONDITION: Good vintage condition with no major problems to report. There is some paint loss along the central metal rod - nothing major, or that interferes with the display of the lamp. It can easily be touched up, or just left alone. The fiberglass shades are free from rips, holes, tears, stains burns, repairs, etc. The lacing is intact as well. The electrical wiring doesn't appear to have any issues - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in 100% working order! As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
