ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a beautiful vintage abstract nude figural oil painting done on stretched canvas. Circa '60s. Colors: Multi-color with great scattered texture throughout. The painting is housed within an off-white wooden frame. It is signed on verso (see photos). It's great artwork that is suitable for all interior settings.
MEASUREMENTS: Including the wooden frame, approx. 35" tall x 29" wide.
CONDITION: Good vintage condition. There is one old chip to the paint (see photos). It can easily be touched up or just left alone. We didn't even notice it at first, but alas, it's there and appears to be masked somewhat by all of the other colors and texture going on in the painting. The paint also shows scattered areas of craquelure from again, but everything is stable. The frame shows light traces of wear that are commensurate with age and handling. It is structurally stable, and displays well. There appears to be old adhesive masking tape around the back border which is helping to keep the canvas in place. We'd recommend having a framer add points or staples to sure it up. There is a wire hanging mechanism draped across the verso for easy hanging / display purposes.
