Vintage MCM Wire Fish Lamp Fiberglass Shade Mid Century Modern Atomic 1950s RARE

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare and amazing vintage atomic era table lamp complete with its original accompanying fiberglass shade. Circa '50s. Theme: Atomic Fish. The base consists of a fish constructed of black wire. It rests atop four legs which stretch out from beneath it. The fiberglass shade is original to the lamp. It is beige in color, and it has atomic fish painted onto the exterior surface all the way around. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch located at the socket for functionality. We are uncertain as to the maker - there are no labels or tags present. It's suitable for all interior settings.

MEASUREMENTS: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 29.5" tall (measured from the feet to the top of the finial. The distance to the light socket from the feet is approx. 21" high. The wire fish measures approx. 12" tall x 14" wide x 6" deep. The distance between each of the four wire legs is approx. 9.25". The fiberglass shade measures approx. 10" tall x 18" in diameter.

CONDITION: With the exception of one separation of the lacing on the upper tier of the shade, the lamp in excellent condition. The base is free from dents, dings, breaks, repairs, rust, oxidation, etc. The fiberglass shade is free from rips, holes, tears, punctures, stains, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring looks to be original, and it's in great shape - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. It displays very well and is ready to be enjoyed! As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.

NOTE: This lamp is LARGE and FRAGILE. As such, for safety sake, it will ship in two separate parcels - one will contain the base, and the other will contain the shade.
