Vintage MCM Bill Lam Fiberglass Shade Tripod Lamp Mid Century Modern Lighting

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare vintage tripod table lamp that was designed by Bill Lam. Circa '50s. Materials: Fiberglass, Walnut Wood. The lamp is very simple - it just consists of a round beige fiberglass shade that is attached to three wooden legs. There is an on/off rotary knob switch located on the outside perimeter of the shade (see photos). The lamp does not have any tags or signatures.

MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 14" tall. The shade is approx. 5" tall x 14" in diameter.

CONDITION: The lamp has some slight discoloration on the top surface of the shade (see photos). We have not attempted to clean it, so we're not certain if it will come out. It does not appear to be a burn from the bulb. Rather, it is a slight color shift. The inside of the shade does not show any color shifting - just the outer top surface a little. Aside from that, the shade is free from chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. The wood legs are in great shape as well - there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring looks to be original, and it's in great shape - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. It displays very well and is ready to be enjoyed! As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
