Vintage MCM Seymour Manufacturing Fireplace Tool Set Mid Century Modern Rare

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare vintage fireplace tool set and stand that was manufactured by Seymour Manufacturing Co. Circa '60s. Materials: Brass, Wood, Iron. In this set of tools, you get a brush, a poker, and a shovel. They come with their original accompanying stand. The tools are constructed of metal, and they have nice wooden handles. The stand is constructed of metal - there is a brass plate at the bottom of each tool, and there's a round iron disc under the plates that gives the stand stability. The iron disc has some numbers and letter inscribed into it (see photos).

MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 35" tall (with each of the tools resting in the stand). The three brass metal plates at the bottom of the stand each measure approx. 9" wide x 5" deep. Each of the three tools measures approx. 31.5" tall.

CONDITION: Given the age, we'd say they are in good condition. There are cosmetic flaws which will mention here. First off, the brass plates and components to the stand show patination and tarnishing (see photos). We haven't done anything in an attempt to clean or polish the item - it is being presented for sale as acquired. The wood handles show light wear commensurate with age, but nothing distracting, in our opinion. The black metal arms of the tools show scattered paint loss, and the iron weight at the bottom of the stand shows some surface discoloration. The set has been well cared for by its previous owners, and it was used from time to time. Please view all photos that are with the listing and judge for yourself.
