Vintage MCM Abstract Silkscreen Modern Art Wall Hanging Signed Witt Mid Century

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an original vintage abstract silkscreen print on paper titled "Imprisonment" by artist, Virginia Higgins Witt. Circa '70s. Materials: Paper, Ink, Artist Board. Colors: Multi-color. The artwork is attached to an artist board backing, and is surrounded by a greenish jute textile material (see photos). The artist has signed this piece by the lower right-hand edge of the paper (again, see photos), and there is still an exhibition label attached to the back side. There is no traditional frame around the artwork. There is a wire hanging mechanism draped across the back side for hanging / display purposes. It's suitable for all interior settings.

MEASUREMENTS: Including the artist board backing, approx. 27.5" tall x 20.25" wide. The visible artwork, excluding the backing, is approx. 19.5" tall x 12.75" wide.

CONDITION: Very good. The artwork is free from rips, holes, tears, creases, repairs, scratches, etc. - just a little gentle surface wear from age and handling (see photos). It could probably benefit from a gentle cleaning, but we chose to leave it in the condition in which it was acquired as we felt it displays nicely as it is. The artist board is structurally solid, and displays well (see photos).
