Vintage MCM Black Wire Sculptural Floor Lamp Fiberglass Shade Mid Century Modern Weinberg 50s 60s

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an unusual vintage, sculptural floor lamp with accompanying fiberglass shade. Circa '50s / '60s. The base is constructed of wire / metal, and is solid black. The fiberglass shade is beige in color, and it has random overlapping thin black and white swirls painted onto the exterior. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch located at the socket for functionality. We are uncertain of the maker - there are no labels, tags or signatures present. While we do not believe this to be a Frederic Weinberg lamp, it goes really well with his pieces and other works from the period. It's suitable for all interior settings.

MEASUREMENTS: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 48" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial) x 24" wide x 24" deep. The distance measured from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 39.5" high. The black pyramidal base at the bottom of the lamp is approx. 10" x 10". The fiberglass shade is approx. 11" tall x 10" diameter (top) x 24" diameter (bottom).

CONDITION: Very good condition given its age. The base is free from dents, dings, breaks, bends repairs, etc. The rectangular black metal plate at the top of the pyramidal base shows some wear to the paint (see photos), but it's nothing terrible - it can be left alone our touched up. It didn't bother us, so we left it as it was acquired. The fiberglass shade is in wonderful shape - no rips, holes, tears, stains, repairs, burns, etc. The lacing appears to be original, and it is intact. The electrical wiring is free from issues - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas on the wire, etc. We always strongly recommend having a licensed professional check the wiring prior to long-term use. The lamps are both in fully-functioning, working condition. This lamp is being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - if you have questions, we encourage you to ask them prior to purchase, and we usually can respond back to you within a short amount of time.

PLEASE NOTE: Both the lamp base and shade are LARGE, and will each have to be shipped in separate parcels, hence the shipping rate. We do welcome local pick-up as well if you wish to save on the shipping.
