ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing vintage brutalist table lamp. Circa '60s / '70s. Materials: Brass, Metal. Colors: Gold, Black. Both the front and back of the central column is done in a brutalist style. The gold design work is slightly raised from the background (see photos). The lamp has four (4) light sockets at the top of the base. There is an on/off rotary knob switch located at the bottom atop the base, and it provides for three-way functionality - one twist lights up two sockets, a second twist lights up the alternate two sockets, and a third twist lights them all up at the same time. We are uncertain as to the maker as there are no labels, tags or signatures present. The lamp does not currently have a shade - it will be left up to the purchaser to provide their own shade.
MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 26.5" tall x 8.5" wide (base) x 7.5" deep (base). The central decorative column measures approx. 16.5" tall x 3" deep x 5" wide. The lamp is also very solid in terms of its weight, which is slightly over 14 lbs.
CONDITION: Overall the lamp is in very good condition - there are no dents, dings, breaks, repairs, etc. There are a few spots where there is some faint scattered tarnishing on the sides, but certainly nothing that detracts (see photos). We have not attempted to clean or polish the lamp in any manner - it is being presented for sale in the exact condition in which it was acquired. At the top of the lamp centered between the light sockets is a hole for a threaded cylinder which would be used to hold a shade in place - the cylinder is missing, but not difficult to replace. The socket cups for the four light sockets vary a bit in appearance from one another, which leads us to believe they were most likely replaced at different points in time. The electrical wiring looks to be original to the lamp, and it is in good condition - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use, just to be safe.
