ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing and rare vintage brass and wood sputnik table lamp. Circa '50s. Materials: Brass, Wood (Walnut). The lamp features eight (8) sockets for small decorative bulbs, and they are set at cascading levels from one another (see photos). The lamp features an on/off rotary knob switch which is located on the base, and it provides for one setting - either all the bulbs light up at once, or they are all off at the same time. We are not certain as to the maker - there are no labels or tags present. It's a fantastic lamp that is suitable for all interior settings.
MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 33" tall x 7.5" wide (base) x 7.5" deep (base).
CONDITION: Very good vintage condition. The lamp is free from chips, cracks, breaks, dents, dings, repairs, rust, oxidation, etc. The brass cups that surround the sockets are free from splits, breaks, corrosion, etc. There is one small finishing nail that is missing at the base where it holds one of the brass accent wires in place (see photo) - it's an easy fix, and does not detract - we just left it alone. The lamp has not been cleaned or polished in any manner - we are presenting it for sale in the exact condition in which it was acquired. The electrical wiring looks to be original, and it's in good condition - no splits, frays, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. The lamps are being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - please ask any questions that you may have, and we will respond back to you in timely manner.
