ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale the mother of all tension pole lamps - a rare and quite amazing vintage tension pole lamp with planters by Schiller Brothers. Circa '60s. This fixture features three cascading brass bullet planters which are each illuminated from above. The planters each have a greenish foam insert which can accommodate faux plants, if desired. Each bullet plugs directly into the round brass canopy at the top (see photos), and there are built-in hooks on the canopy for the chains that are used to hang the bullets (see photos). The canopy is also designed such that it can rotate around at its attachment point. There is a three-way rotary knob switch located on the central vertical cylinder which allows for three-way functionality: allows for one, two or all three sockets to be illuminated at once. There is no labels or tags visibly present. These tension lamps are seldom seen anymore - don't let this one slip away!
MEASUREMENTS: This tension lamp can accommodate ceilings that are between 91" to 99" tall. The brass ceiling canopy is approx. 15" in diameter. Each of the brass bullet cups measures approx. 8" tall x 4.75" in diameter (at their openings). The thin metal chains that connect that tops to the bottoms of each bullet are approx. 8" long. This tension pole lamp is very large, and will become the focal point of any room!
CONDITION: Very good condition - there are no dents, dings, breaks, repairs, rust, oxidation, etc. Just a little faint surface wear that comes with age and handling. It could use a gentle cleaning, but displays very nicely in its current state - we have not made any attempts to clean or polish the fixture in any manner - it is being presented for sale in the exact condition in which it was acquired. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and it is in good shape - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. It's in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. The lamps are being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - please ask any questions that you may have, and we will respond back to you in timely manner.
NOTE: This item will ship in two separate parcels - one will contact the bullets, while the other will contain the canopy and upright column.
