Vintage MCM Wire Figural Drummer Wall Hanging Art Mid Century Modern 1950s Weinberg Style

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a great vintage wire drummer / percussionist framed wall hanging. Circa '50s. Materials: Wire, burlap, wood frame. The wire figure has small spacers on the back which give it a floating appearance within the frame. The background is a beige burlap-type material (see photos). We are uncertain as to the maker - there are no labels, tags or signatures present. It's done in a similar style to Frederic Weinberg.

MEASUREMENTS: Including the frame, approx. 20.5" tall x 16.5" wide. The figure measures approx. 17" tall x 13" wide.

CONDITION: Good vintage condition. The wire figure is in nice shape - no breaks, bends, repairs, rust, oxidation, etc. It has some scattered paint loss in areas, but nothing drastic. The burlap-type backing on the wood board shows definite signs of wear (see photos) . While it displays okay, it can easily be swapped out for something nicer in appearance. It also seems to be lifting off the wood backboard slightly. There is a wire hanging mechanism attached to the back side of the frame for quick and easy hanging / display purposes.
