Vintage MCM BREST Chalkware Lamp Organic Chenille Shade Mid Century Modern Lighting 50s

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage chalkware table lamp with original accompanying cloth chenille shade that was manufactured by Brest (Chicago, IL). Circa '50s. Materials: Chalkware, Chenille. Colors: The base is a gray color with green accents, while the shade is a beige color with yellow trim around the edges (see photos). The lamp has a standard on/off switch located at the socket. The base is signed towards the bottom on the reverse side of the base. It's a great lamp that is suitable for all interior settings.

MEASUREMENTS: With the chenille cloth shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 27.5" tall x 25.5" wide x 15.5" deep. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 19" high. The base measures 16.5" tall x 10.25" wide x 5.5" deep. The shade measures approx. 10" tall x 25.5" wide x 15.5" deep.

CONDITION: Overall the lamp is in very good condition. There are a few cosmetic mentions which will bring up now. First, on the front side of the base on the edge of one of the green leaf-life accents, there is some minor edge wear (see photo). It's barely noticeable, but it is there and we are mentioning it for accuracy. It can easily be touched up or just left alone. It never bothered us, so we left it in the condition in which it was acquired. The shade shows a little wear to the chenille material over one of the metal rods that serves to shape the shade (see photo) - it's not bad, but again, we are mentioning it for accuracy. The shade also shows discoloration and dust - it can definitely benefit from a cleaning. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and it is in very good shape - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. The lamp is being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - if you have questions, we encourage you to ask them prior to purchase, and we usually can respond back to you within a short amount of time.

NOTE: Due to the FRAGILE nature of this lamp, it will need to ship in two separate parcels - one will contain the shade, while the other will contain the base.
