Vintage MCM CONTINENTAL Chalkware Lamp Organic Fiberglass Shade Mid Century 50s

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool vintage chalkware lamp with accompanying fiberglass shade that was manufactured by Continental Arts. Co. Circa '50s. Materials: Chalkware, Fiberglass. Colors: Turquoise, Gold, Black, White. The lamp features three (3) sockets - one main socket, and two smaller decorative sockets. The main socket has its own on/off switch, while the two smaller sockets have their own on/off switch. Both of the smaller sockets are set to light together, or be off together. The lamp is signed © Continental Arts Co. on the bottom of the back side of the base. The fiberglass shade is a light beige color with gold flecks randomly scattered throughout. It's a fantastic lamp that is suitable for all interior settings.

MEASUREMENTS: With the fiberglass shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 31" tall x 17" wide x 17 deep. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 24.5" high. The base measures 22.25" tall x 11.5" wide x 6.5" deep. The round shade measures approx. 9" tall x 17" wide x 17" deep.

CONDITION: Very good condition. There are few minor cosmetic mentions which will discuss now. First, there is a small, stable crack area around the base where the on/off switch is. This is fairly common in these types of lamps. It is completely stable, and nothing is missing (see photos). Next, there is a small patch of color loss on the underside of the turquoise swoosh (see photos). It pretty much only seen if you are looking from below, but we are mentioning it for accuracy. Aside from that, the base is free from chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. - it displays nicely! The fiberglass shade does not have any issues that we can mention - it's in very nice shape - no rips, holes, tears, burn marks, etc. The lacing appears to be original, and it is intact. The electrical wiring appears to be original as well, and it is in very good shape - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. The lamp is being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - if you have questions, we encourage you to ask them prior to purchase, and we usually can respond back to you within a short amount of time.

NOTE: Due to the FRAGILE nature of this lamp, it will need to ship in two separate parcels - one will contain the shade, while the other will contain the base.
