Vintage MCM Metal Wire Fish Lamp Fiberglass Shade Mid Century Modern 1950s Lighting Atomic Era

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage wire fish table or tv lamp with its original chartreuse green fiberglass insert. Circa '50s. The lamp features an atomic looking wire fish that is attached to a metal skeletal framework, and on either side are two small round black metal discs which are presumably meant for faux plants. The fish rests in front of a chartreuse green fiberglass shade insert. The insert is designed to be open at the back for ease when swapping out the light bulb. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch located at the socket for functionality. There are no labels or tags present - we are uncertain as to the maker. It's a wonderfully whimsical lamp for all you fish-related collectors out there!

MEASUREMENTS: Including the metal base approx. 12" tall x 14" wide x 5" deep. The fiberglass panel measures 11" tall x 7" wide x 4.75" deep. The two rounded metal discs on either side of the shade each measure approx. 2.5" in diameter, with the space they occupy being approx. 3-3/8" wide x 5" deep. The fish measures approx. 9.5" tall x 7" wide.

CONDITION: Good, all-original vintage condition. There is minimal paint loss in areas, but nothing that we deem would be objectionable given the age of the lamp. There is a little bit of surface discoloration on the two black metal discs. The fiberglass has a few tiny blemishes, and some of the lacing has come undone in two spots, but the holes are still intact; the lacing is stable, but can be replaced easily and without any issues, if desired. It is free from rips, holes, tears, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring looks to be original and is in good shape - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - if you have questions, we encourage you to ask them prior to purchase, and we usually can respond back to you within a short amount of time.
