Vintage MCM Brass Lamp Fiberglass Shades Mid Century Modern Lighting Majestic 1950s
$1,650.00
ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a beautiful vintage table lamp with its original accompanying matching fiberglass shades. Circa '50s. The lamp consists of brass tubing attached to a marble stone base. The fiberglass shades stack one atop the other, and they are cradled by the surrounding brass tubing (see photos). The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch located on the base side of the base, and it allows for three-way functionality: one twist lights up one shade, a second twist lights up the other independent of the first, and a third twist allows them both to light up at the same time. We aren't 100% certain on the maker as there are no labels or tags present, but we have seen these lamps in the past attributed to Majestic Lighting Co. It's a great lamp that is suitable for all interior settings.
MEASUREMENTS: With the two fiberglass shades attached, the lamp stands approx. 38" tall x 19.5" wide x 8" deep. The larger, upper fiberglass shade measures approx. 7.5" tall x 18" wide x 8" deep. The smaller, lower fiberglass shade measures approx. 7" tall x 12" wide x 6" deep. The marble base at the bottom of the lamp measures approx. 9" wide x 6" deep.
CONDITION: Very good, all-original condition. The brass is in great shape - no breaks, bends, rust, oxidation, pitting, etc. It has a nice shine to it! The fiberglass shades are in immaculate condition - no rips, holes, tears, creases, stains, odors, etc. The lacing is taut on both shades, and completely intact (see photos). The electrical wiring appears to be original with no issues to report - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. It is being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - please ask any questions that you may have, and we will respond back to you in timely manner.
NOTE: Due to the size and fragile nature of the shade, the lamp will ship in two separate parcels - one will contain the base, while the other will contain both shades.
