Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a nice vintage J.C. Penny adjustable / telescoping desk or task lamp (Model #6678) Circa '70s. Made in Japan. The neck adjusts up and down, as well as back and forth. The orb at the top adjusts up and down where it attaches to the neck, and it also can rotate 360 degrees. The options are many as to how you can configure this gem! Takes a 12V light bulb (included), and has an on/off switch located on the orb just above the base. There are two different light intensity settings, and both work perfectly! Marked on the bottom of the round chrome base, and still retains the original Underwriter Laboratories label there as well (see photo).
Measurements: With the neck fully extended, the lamp stands approx. 16.25" tall. When the neck is fully in down position, it measures approx. 9.5" tall. The orb that contains the light bulb is approx. 3" round. The orb just above the chrome base measures approx. 3.75" round. The chrome base measures 4.75" in diameter.
Condition: Very good condition. No dents, dings, repairs, breaks, rust, oxidation, etc. There is some minor color loss, but nothing that really interferes with the presence of the lamp (see photos). The electrical wiring is original to the lamp, and it is in good condition - no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring checked prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
