Vintage Seymour Wood Iron Fireplace Tool Set Mid Century Modern MCM Metal Poker Brush Shovel Stand 60s

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage mid century modern fireplace tool set. Manufactured by Seymour. Includes: poker, shovel, brush and stand. Materials: Iron, Wood. Unmarked.

Measurements: With the tools resting in their designated slots, it measures approx. 37" tall. The stand alone measures approx. 14" tall x 7.75" deep x 8.25" wide. Each of the tools measures approx. 36" in length.

Condition: Good condition. There are some minor cosmetic flaws that are strictly minor in our opinion, but we are going to mention them here for accuracy. The wood appears to be in very good shape - no breaks, cracks, repairs, etc. There is a little bit of darkening to the wood portion of the handles - most likely from handling and use. They can most likely be polished and cleaned - we have not attempted to do so, as we feel they display nicely as they are. The brass caps towards the bottom of the wooden handles show some signs of tarnishing / discoloration in spots - again, we have not attempted to clean and/or polish them as we feel they are fine as they are. The iron portions of the tools show some signs of color lightening in areas (see photos), and the bristles on the brush show general wear from being used by previous owners. Again, nothing bad at all - we just like being thorough in our descriptions - you can be the judge for yourselves. All-in-all, a nice mid century modern set that'll look great next to your fireplace.
